As we head towards Spring and what will hopefully be the first full season of golf since 2019 Ian Rone, County President, and the Board of Worcestershire County Golf would like to wish its member Clubs and their members an enjoyable and successful 2022 season.

County Championships and Competitions

Thanks to the support of Clubs who have agreed to host County events, the 2022 fixture schedule has now been finalised. Details of individual and team events, including how to enter are on the County website.

Early season events include:

Winter Knockout Finals – Sunday 1st May at Blackwell
Boulton Salver (Club team event) – Sunday 15th May at Moseley
County Team Championships – Wednesday 8th June at Droitwich
County Championship (individual) – Thursday 9th June at Droitwich
County Seniors’ Championship – Monday 13th June at Kings Norton

WCG Ltd Annual General Meeting – diary date for member clubs

The Worcestershire County Ltd company AGM will be held at 7.00pm on Wednesday 18th May at Bromsgrove Golf Centre. Further details will be sent to member Clubs shortly.

Golf News

Congratulations to Hugh Adams (Hagley Golf Club) who has been selected to represent England in the French Boys’ Championship Team event from 14-18 April

Thirty boys have been selected to take part in coaching and development sessions being held at Hagley GC during February, March and April

The County 1st, 2nd and Seniors’ team squads have been invited to attend a pre-season day at The Astbury Golf Club on Sunday 24th April

Interesting in Volunteering?

Worcestershire County Golf relies on volunteers to manage the County’s activities and provide a full service to its members. This includes help with golf activities and administration, including areas such as finance, communications and compliance.
