U14 Player Wins Place in World Championships

Congratulations to county player Jake Jeff-Johnston (Bromsgrove) on becoming the British Junior Golf Tour U12 Champion for 2023.

The British Junior Golf Tour (BJGT), a DP World Tour Approved Golf Development Programme, is dedicated to the development of junior golfers through events that provide the opportunity for boys and girls to play in age divisions, from age-appropriate yardages, against their peer groups, to maximise juniors’ potential to develop.

Jake is one of our U14 team players, a team that continues to demonstrate its prowess, winning all 5 of its matches last year and 4 out of 5 this year, plus winning the Midland Golf Union County 6’s for the first time.

It has been a successful season for Jake, winning events at Chesterfield Downs, De Vere, Kirtlington, Northants, Pyle and Kenfig and Walton Heath while he also claimed the Fulford Heath Junior Gross title, as well as playing in the World Championships in San Diego, and BJGT World Championships in Portugal.

Jake will travel to Villa Padierna in Spain in February to take part in the World Junior Golf Championship, and we wish him every success.
