Worcestershire County Championships 2024

Another day where the weather played its part with a wet afternoon during the 36-hole Men’s Worcestershire County Championships at Redditch Golf Club.

A field of 37 players from 20 clubs playing to be the County Champion and winner of the Centenary Putter. Players from the team championships the day before were also playing or the 54 hole, G.D. Carr Cup and World Amateur Golf Ranking points.

It was Hollywood’s Eddie Vernon with rounds of 74 and 73 who took the Championship by 3 shots, along with the Philip Padmore trophy for best nett.

Tom Godfrey of Fulford Heath Golf Club held out to take the G.D Carr Cup by a single shot with a 3-round total of 225.

The U21 Youths Championship was won by Tom Blizzard from Droitwich Golf club.
