County Champion Matt Vigurs (Droitwich GC) was one of four players from the top placings in the County Championships to compete for the Derek Greey Trophy in the Men’s Matchplay finals at Kings Norton GC.

Having won his semi-final match against Alfie Cook (Stourbridge GC) Matt took on Alex Emms (The Vale), who had played Cameron Dean from Wharton Park, in the final over the Brockhill course. With good start Matt went ahead early and Alex was just not quite able to gain back any ground, and the match went to Matt on the 15th, 4&3.
